Client
VIA, a high-end Melbourne-based architecture firm.
Objective
Reinvigorate VIA's existing values to foster a cohesive, high-performance culture and align with their vision for growth.
VIA’s CEO, inspired by a talk from Australian sports leader Brian Cooke, recognized the need to build a stronger, connected culture to drive performance. VIA's existing values were not broken but lacked the clarity and motivation to unite the team effectively.
Though VIA’s values had served them well, they weren’t delivering the focus, connection, or growth needed to sustain their vision. The values had become somewhat stagnant, remembered by few and actionable by even fewer.
ValueBull worked with VIA's cross-functional values crew in an immersive two-day session to identify the 'Top 3 Priorities' (T3P). A detailed assessment highlighted that some values could stay, though they required a powerful reframe to be impactful.
VIA’s top three prioritised archetypes emerged as:
These T3P archetypes were translated into three distinct, architecturally inspired Creative Expressions:
ValueBull crafted 9 WOWs (Ways of Working), with a “culture captain” appointed for each to maintain ownership. Captains were trained to develop ValueBull Habits to ensure these values stayed active and impactful.
The values-led culture system launched with energy, positioning VIA with a competitive edge and an adaptable, actionable framework for performance enhancement and decision-making. This system, integrated across teams, provided the focus and cohesion needed for VIA’s next phase.
With ValueBull’s values-led culture system, VIA now has a cohesive, memorable, and motivational framework that aligns their team, drives performance, and brings their ambitious vision to life.
“ValueBull completely revitalized VIA’s values, infusing them with fresh energy, bold ideas, and a genuine sense of purpose.
It has turned our values into powerful, living principles. Our Creative Expressions aren’t just
slogans—they’re guiding principles that have re-shaped how we work, communicate, and
collaborate.
We’ve even appointed ‘culture captains’ to ensure our values stay active and impactful into the future. Our values have become a daily part of how we operate. We’ve seen a tangible boost in team cohesion, performance, and a renewed focus on excellence.
It’s remarkable to see our team embody these values naturally—they’re no longer abstract concepts but truly the backbone of our culture.
